We have the opportunity to develop content across many industries, from nonprofits to engineering, and across multiple channels, including social media posts, blog articles, emails, and website content. We’re looking for an individual that is excited to learn a little bit about everything, and even more excited to put together valuable content to teach someone else a little bit about everything. We are looking for a smart and talented copywriter, content creator, and coordinator to produce and edit brand content for a wide range of mediums including websites, email, social, digital, blogs, and print collateral. This individual must be quick to adapt to various tones and styles with writing that clearly helps to achieve business objectives. Responsibilities Include:

  • Create compelling content with a deep understanding of and ability to deliver against business goals
  • Develop and review copy for client websites, email, digital ads, print collateral, press releases, research, personas, etc. that aligns with brand strategies and speaks to specific audiences
  • Coordinate a team of writers, including interviewing, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and giving feedback
  • Work with team to develop clients’ social media strategies, manage their editorial calendars, and collaborate with clients for approval
  • Create and review detailed content organization and copywriting for website builds, including sitemaps, content outlines, and user flows
  • Maintain clients’ blogs, ensuring copy meets business goals, is written for the correct audience, and is following best SEO practices
  • Write and review content for First Ascent, including social media, blogs, podcasts, and website copy
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure final deliverables are cohesive, consistent, and on-brand
  • Aptitude for interacting with the broader community on social media platforms
  • Conducting interviews of stakeholders and clients for content
  • Generating procedures and processes, training, and working with a broader team
  • Stay up to date on content & digital marketing trends
  • Must be able to work in our Wilmington, DE office (typical schedules are 3 days a week in the office, 2 days remote)

Qualifications:

  • Experience producing copy across multiple mediums for different audiences
  • A talent for delivering thoughtful, quality, typo-free content at an efficient pace
  • Open to receiving constructive feedback from multiple parties
  • The ability to communicate and over-communicate
  • Self-motivation with the ability to juggle multiple projects while managing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with clients
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • 0-5 years experience
  • Ability to show a portfolio of past writing, bonus if the portfolio includes long-form writing, ad copy, website copy, or social media
  • Photography, video, and/or graphic design skills are a plus (but optional)
  • Previous agency or freelance experience is a plus (but optional)

  • $45,000-$50,000 salary, commensurate with experience & skillset
