We’re looking for a Digital Marketing & Content Specialist that is excited to be a modern-day renaissance-person. First Ascent Design is a full-service, digital marketing agency in Wilmington Delaware that is focused on web, email, search, and social as primary marketing channels. To execute campaigns, we manage strategy, content creation, design, and development. Your role will be to produce, manage, strategize and execute campaigns and websites, by coordinating with the larger team, coordinating with clients, and doing production tasks yourself. About the Role:

You’ll strategize, manage, and execute campaigns across various channels like email, social media, and search. You’ll collaborate closely with our team and clients.

What You’ll Do:

Content Strategy, Creation & Editing (60%)

  • Experience producing copy across multiple mediums for different audiences.
  • Strategizing and editing content from the larger marketing team at First Ascent.
  • Proactive, “figure it out” attitude.
  • A talent for delivering thoughtful, quality, typo-free content at an efficient pace.
  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking, ability to brainstorm and research new topic ideas.
  • Comfortable with sharing thoughts and ideas with a team, and receiving and giving constructive feedback from/to coworkers and clients.
  • Research and create social media content, advertising copy, and website copy. 
  • Ability to digest and follow a strategic plan to help meet clients’ business goals.
  • Conduct research on the client, the industry, and competitors.
  • Detailed content organization and copywriting for website builds.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure final deliverables are cohesive, consistent, and on-brand.
  • Conducting interviews of stakeholders and clients for content.
  • Ability to self manage multiple projects and deliverables at the same time, organizing priorities and coordinating to get the work done when needed.
  • Ability to ask questions and ask for support when needed. 
  • Desire to constantly learn and improve.
  • Strict adherence to timelines, ability to coordinate and share tasks with the team.
  • A portfolio of marketing copy, social media posts, and/or blog articles is a strong benefit.
  • Knowledge of SEO concepts and digital marketing best practices are a benefit.

Digital Marketing Strategy, Support & Execution (40%)

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including Meta and LinkedIn paid social ads and boosted posts, Google Search, Google Display, and other digital ad spend campaigns.
  • Research competitors, analyze data, and recommend impactful strategies for client campaigns.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, automations, and campaign sends.
  • Learn, maintain and troubleshoot multiple Email Service Providers and Content Management Systems as needed. 
  • Monitor and iterate on paid advertising campaigns (search and social) to maximize results.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, using data to continuously improve.
  • Create monthly analytics reports to report on campaign performance, providing recommendations and strategic insight on campaign health. 
  • Communicate effectively with clients, manage monthly check in meetings, and report on progress.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and suggest innovative approaches to client marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to project planning, timelines, and content calendars.
  • Seek professional development opportunities, including acquiring and maintaining relevant industry certifications.
  • Perform other functions and duties as required. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or marketing technology. Entry level with a strong portfolio and ready-to-learn attitude are encouraged to apply. Agency experience is a bonus.
  • A strong writing portfolio.
  • Strong skills in email, managing paid search and social campaigns. Hands-on understanding of tracking, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to stay up to date on digital marketing trends. 
  • Ability to analyze analytics data and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients, including phone calls and in-person meetings. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly collaborative, respectful, and has a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrates personal ownership and accountability.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into simple messages.
  • Has a car and valid driver’s license, willing to drive to meet clients at their location when needed. 
  • Bonus points for experience with client management, design skills, and relevant digital marketing certifications.

You’ll Get:

  • Compensation range is $55-65k and based on skills and experience.
  • 4 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks paid sick time, and paid holidays.
