We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator that is excited to be a modern-day renaissance-(wo)man. First Ascent Design is a full-service, digital marketing agency in Wilmington Delaware that is focused on email, search, and social as primary marketing channels. We believe that design is a multiplier of effort and have a high standard for design, and also that development and web assets are a critical piece of digital marketing. To execute campaigns, we manage strategy, content creation, design, and development. Your role as a digital marketing specialist is to manage, strategize and execute on campaigns, by coordinating with the larger team, coordinating with clients, and doing production tasks yourself. As a small agency, we all wear many hats and work collaboratively on all projects. There are no pure managers here, everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets to work. We believe in training our employees and attitude, honesty and work ethic will mean more than having experience in all the below responsibilities and having all qualifications.

Work with our development, design, and writing teams to execute on multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media management, and social media advertising

Search Engine Marketing + Paid Media Ads:

  • Set up and oversee paid media advertising campaigns on Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, and other platforms
  • Maintain and optimize Google Ads accounts by cleaning negative keywords, conducting keyword research, and updating extensions
  • Receive and maintain a Google Ads certificate
  • Plans and execute all SEM, social media, and display advertising campaigns including the implementation of Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other digital resources

Email Marketing:

  • Involved in email campaign execution and idea generation
  • Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, responding to inquiries, then acting on the information
  • Collect customer data and analyze interactions and visits, plus use this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Research and monitor the activity of competitors

Social Media:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, bench-marketing, messaging and audience identification
  • Work with our content team to generate, edit, publish and share content that builds meaningful connections and encourages customer engagement
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of clients’ social content
  • Review and respond to comments concerning support issues made on our social channels in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, to educate and create positive connections with our customer community

General & Business:

  • Audit advertising accounts and marketing strategies of incoming and existing clients
  • Support the local nonprofit ecosystem
  • Potential to attend events and share expertise
  • Work with the new business development team to strategize, quote, and estimate projects for incoming clients
  • Perform other functions and duties as required

  • 2-5 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Has worked with: 
    • Email marketing
    • Social media advertising
    • Google Ads
    • Google Data Studio and/or Supermetrics
    • Google Analytics
  • Maintains the highest level of professionalism 
  • Demonstrates personal ownership and accountability
  • Exceptional reading and writing skills 
  • Adept analytical skills with ability to dissect data and turn it into actionable initiatives
  • An eagerness and passion to learn more about digital marketing and new technologies
  • The ability to multitask; able to handle more than one assignment at a time while staying organized and prioritizing commitments while being communicative to other team members
  • A team player with a collaborative spirit

Nice to Have’s:

  • Experience in day-to-day client management, including weekly status meetings, presenting plans and ideas, and discussing strategic recommendations with clients.
  • Ideal candidates will have an eye for design, (or a design portfolio), and strong writing skills
