Mae Anareta

Part engineer, part wordsmith, Mae brings logic, creativity, and a love for learning to everything she writes, from blogs and web pages to emails and social campaigns.

Mae spent eight years in mechanical engineering before following her passion for writing. Since joining First Ascent in 2023, she’s put her technical problem-solving skills and research background to work across the agency’s content.

Outside of work, Mae actively supports local Indigenous groups and different local animal shelters across the province.

Fun Fact: Before making the switch to writing and marketing, Mae worked as a CAD designer, welder, lathe operator, and milling machine operator!
